Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files without uploading them?

Use the Merge / Split / Edit tab and add your PDFs. Merging runs in your browser using pdf-lib, so the files are not sent to a server.

Can I extract a page range or split a PDF?

Yes, you can split into single-page PDFs, extract a page range, rotate pages by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, or stamp a text watermark such as CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT.

How do I extract text from a scanned PDF?

Use the OCR tab for scanned pages. The Text Extractor tab is for PDFs that already contain real text.

Can I turn PDF pages into images?

Yes, the Page Previews tab renders pages and lets you download each as PNG, and the Extract Images tab pulls out embedded images.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your input is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded or stored on a server.
