Frequently asked questions

How do I view a JSON Lines log file?

Load or paste it into the Log Viewer. It detects the level of each entry, highlights it and lets you filter by severity or search by keyword.

Can I find 5xx errors in an Nginx or Apache access log?

You can load the access log and use the search box in regex mode to match status codes, for example a pattern for 5xx responses. Access log lines are shown as raw text, without a dedicated status-code filter.

Does it support regex search?

Yes, the search box has a regex toggle for pattern matching across log lines.

Can I parse a log format it does not recognise?

Yes, switch to Custom Pattern and supply a regex with named groups such as timestamp, level and message.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your input is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded or stored on a server.
