Frequently asked questions

How do I read ID3 tags from an MP3?

Drop the file into Audio Tools. It shows title, artist, album, year, genre and cover art where present, read from ID3v2 or ID3v1 tags.

Which audio formats are supported?

MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG, M4A, AAC and Opus can be played, shown as a waveform and trimmed if your browser can decode them. Tag reading and editing covers ID3 tags, so it works for MP3 files.

Can I view the waveform of an audio file?

Yes, the tool renders the waveform and includes a player. You can select a range on the waveform to trim, cut out, fade or change gain, and export it as WAV.

Can I edit MP3 tags or cover art?

Yes, for MP3 files you can use Edit Tags to change fields and cover art and then save and download the file.

Can I join several audio clips?

Yes, add clips and use Concatenate & Export to merge them into one WAV file.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your input is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded or stored on a server.
